Holy crap, La Presse reporting Price is done for the year.

Not quite: The report says sources within the club are losing hope that he'll be able to return. An optimistic scenario is that he's ready for the playoffs, provided they make it.

Who do they sell, though?

Pending UFA Tom Gilbert should fetch a decent pick. He's been solid when healthy. After a month it looked like Weise was on the way to an exaggerated payday, but he's fallen back to earth. He could be moved for a pick too. Moving either wouldn't affect our playoff chances all that much.

Could they find a taker for DD? One-year/3.5M left on the deal.
Emelin has two more years at 4.1M AAV. Staying unless part of a bigger deal.

Will the Habs make a big splash at the deadline? Doesn't look like it, but Bergevin likes working the phones so maybe something will happen. Obviously a top-six forward is needed.

Brutal loss last night in Buffalo. Habs dominated in the chances department but a few bad bounces did them in, including the linesman assisting Evander Kane with the game ending double header. PK was incensed and got tossed.

The team needs to string together a bunch of wins to get back into the playoffs, and it's looking like they don't have it in them anymore.

On the plus side, Galchenyuk is on fire playing with Plekanec and Sven Andrighetto has finally emerged as the scoring winger we've been waiting for. Before his injury Carr looked like a pro, so to have a couple of AHL forwards graduate in a season is a pretty positive development.

But still, last night's game was a gut punch. The window to win with PK, Max and Carey is closing fast.

Embarrassing 6-2 loss Monday night against in Glendale. The Habs look like they've run out of fight.

Question of the day: Was naming Pacioretty captain over PK a bad idea? Max suffered a serious offseason injury that I think has affected his skating this season, but I'm talking temperament. Is he the guy that can rally the troops, or is he just not that kind of dude?

I always thought that was a strange choice of captain to be honest. PK is the heart and fire behind this team.

Same reason why Taylor Swift inexplicably won album of the year over Kendrick Lamar last night.

De La Rose made a creative, heads up play to set up the Weise goal. DLR, Sven and Carr have looked like pros when called upon. Beaulieu went end-to-end on the Gallagher goal, but I'm assuming Therrien was asleep and missed it.

Therrien calls out Subban following loss to Avalanche

http://www.tsn.ca/therrien-calls-out-su ... e-1.439624

Kinda agree that it feels like he is scapegoating PK, protecting the recently promoted captain?

Not sure why he would bother protecting anyone as he is on the way out I would thing. Maybe just doesn't like Subban personally.

Therrien is deluded. Still has yet to take any responsibility for this disaster. Keeps calling out the players.

Reminds of the Toronto media with Carlyle. It was never Carlyle's fault. Stanley Cup and Norris Trophy winner!!!

The French media and the French coach are ganging up to run the star player out of town. Again. This province, man.

Rumors that the Habs are gauging interest in Subban before his NMC kicks in next year.

All of this seems pretty damn accurate.

Ditch the coach in the offseason please.
