Hopefully Condon will prove he's not just a Fly By Night goalie.

1-1 after one. Foligno scored only his second goal of the season, one year into his 5.5M AAV deal. Mulligan on that one?

Christian Thomas, a forgotten man down on the farm, made a beautiful chip pass to Byron on the Habs' lone goal. He's running out of time to prove he can be a regular.

Emelin got five and a game for an interference penalty. Not sure why he got tossed, but I guess there was a bit of a slew foot involved. Not much of one, though.

Habs have been involved in two fights this seasons. Both were by Nathan Beaulieu.

Jax take a dumb penalty with under three minutes to go. Pacioretty scores the GWG.

He needed it. Without Gallagher the lines are a complete mess, and Max ended up back with Desharnais and Weise.

For now, the Gallagher injury is a bigger deal than Price's. Condon is playing well, but there's no one capable of filling in on the RW. Semin being out doesn't help, let alone the other guy acquired to provide offence on the right side: Kassian.

I look forward to seeing moving pictures of habs players and their families on the ice when they win the cup...

Sadly though, they'll have to break this team up. Too many players are going to be getting big money.

Hold your fire, I'll lay off the stupid rush puns.

These puns just touch me somewhere down deep -

closer to the heart.

Anyway...

Back to hockey. I'm loving Markov's grace under pressure.

PK's slapper from the point is way too telegraphed - his wind up is really a distant, early warning.

Beaulieu was really rocked by that punch. I want to see him fight dirty, Boston style. He needs to punch guys low line'em up for a passage to bang cock.

I love how in synch Max and DD are. They're united by some sort of strange mystic rhythms. It's pretty special to watch.

Fucale had a landmark night - first game with the bigs. Even though he didn't play I'm sure it's one of those moments where time stands still.

Anyway, they just keep winning. Why does it happen? Because it happens...
