Analytics guys loved Petry, eye test guys hated him with a burning passion. Amazingly those eye test guys started liking him this year, basically claiming he's doing it since it's his contract year. Just like Gilbert, but the difference is Petry is still in his prime years where as Gilbert is now 33 and had a couple injuries.

Habs need to move some salary if they want to add a forward. Rumour is they're willing to sacrifice Parenteau, but ideally one of Gonchar or Allen would go since they're pretty much just dead space. Ideally you only move Parenteau if it is required to improve the team (as in, the other team wants him in return).

The Habs could still use a scoring winger. The lines look uneven.

Winger or Centre, doesn't really matter. They need to have three scoring lines.

Louis Jean seems to think Bournival is on the outs of the lineup now.

Parenteau will play regularly if he's not traded.

Possible that JDLR and Flynn kind of split centre responsibilities on the 4th line with Eller returning to 3C. All depends on what moves are made. Open speculation right now that Eberle is a target.

Based on what I've heard today, Petry really does seem like Gilbert 2.0. Skates, moves the puck, but not particularly nasty and doesn't really use his shot.
