Eh, so Coyle was reassigned today, I'm still doin' it. But in case that's unacceptable to the judges: Rupp Roast.

This season can be summed up like this:

Image

The three best players on this team from last year are all out: EJ and Landeskog out with concussions, and O'Reilly soon to be dealt. It will be up to Duchene and Parenteau to keep this club from plummeting into complete irrelevance all by themselves.

That draft pick is sure gonna be nice. As someone else from Twitter pointed out, it'll give the Avs a chance to groom a player for three years and then ostracize when he asks to be paid to play.

Heatley looks like a lump out there, so I'm told.

I'm sure he'll be able to fight off Tyson Barrie by swinging his flab around like he did in the season opener.

I'll say this about Ryan Suter--I've seen him make some pretty bad gaffes during his time in Nashville. I wonder how often he was bailed out by Weber and Nashville's system? I realize he's good offensively, but defensively the guy's never impressed me in the slightest. Right now he's getting schooled by the Avalanche's vaunted line of Bordeleau-Olver-Kobasew.

Matt Duchene is singlehandedly trying to save the Avs' season. Scored the game-tying goal and put the shootout away. Palushaj managed to net one as well.

Wylde fans can't be happy about losing to a depleted Avs squad.

Being unhappy is status quo for Wild fans.

Yeah, but now they gotta be REALLY unhappy given the heightened (to unrealistic) expectations.
