Tale of the Tape

The big story tonight is that Henrik Sedin is questionable for tonight and was seen walking around the team's hotel wearing a sizable walking boot after getting a CT scan on his lower leg. No word as of yet as to how serious this is but his iron-man streak is likely done. I would assume that this gives CoHo a terrific chance to show what he can do with better linemates, and possibly every line gets juggled yet again. Also, this game being where it is, Schneider will get the start as the Excel Energy Center has been a House of Horrors for Luongo.

This news is likely very welcome from Minneapolis-St.Paul fans - for its part, the Wild has been without its best player in Mikko Koivu who may return to the lineup tonight.

Update on Henrik, no fracture. He'll attempt game day skate and make the decision then. Personally I'd say let him rest for a few games its the Cup that matters not the Iron May streak.

Interesting to me anyways. Kesler topped all forwards at 19 minutes and Lappy was low man at 10 minutes. AV really balanced out playing time among the forwards to compensate for Henrik's injury (16 min) which is why Cody (13 min) was dropped to the fourth line just to ensure he had balance throughout all lines.

Have to say I think AV is hands down the best coach we've ever head.

I'd agree with that assessment.

Roger Nielsen was pretty darn good. Too bad he never had much to work with and had to be in the same division as the Oilers.
