Zucker - Brodziak - Carter
Suter - Brodin
Scandella - Spurgeon
Folin - Dumba
This is a real interesting team. Basically, every marginal spot is occupied now by a skilled player, and they're looking to spread the skill around. It'd be easy to go with a top 9/bottom 3 setup but Zucker and Brodziak aren't exactly offensively challenged. When the guy that is least likely to score a goal on your team up front is Ryan Carter I think you've done a real nice job putting skill in your lineup.
Parise and Koivu are still the drivers of this team, but Pominville, Niederreiter, Graunlund, Coyle, and Vanek all are great secondary support.
And look at that D. Skill, skill, skill. There's not a coke machine to be found on this team.
The Maple Leafs may have been seen as the test case for Corsi, but the Wild might be the test case for the importance of skill in every position. The Wild probably will never match up with the Kings and Blackhawks with their frontline talent, but can they get to that level on the aggregate?
