http://www.startribune.com/sports/wild/ ... anchO7DiUr Looks like Guillaume spent his signing bonus on Tim Horton's this offseason. Cal Clutterbuck takes his place. Uh, yeah, that'll work. I can see how the Oilers spent right up to the cap in order to suck, but how in hell did it happen in Minnesota? |

http://www.startribune.com/sports/blogs/133168983.html Quote: "I thought that both lines had more jump once we made that switch," coach Mike Yeo said. "Two very different dynamics with both lines. One's sort of built around speed and one's size and power. ... Gui, up with Mikko and Heater, gives them a guy that has a pretty defined element to his game as far as he will make plays, but he's going to go to the net, he's going to be first to pucks in corners, he's strong on the puck. Did I miss something here? I thought the reason Latendresse was booted out of Montreal was because he never did any of those things. |

Guillaume was always late to the puck, so I don't know what's happened if he really is first to the puck now or not. His hits were always late, and his problems of driving to the net were probably because he was late in getting there as well. His problem was his speed. And he didn't have the hockey sense to make up for it. |
