I fear an Islanders version.

But I really don't see the obstructed glass as #1 on that list. Although I also don't even remotely believe them that the first replacement piece broke on the way to install it. How the hell would you break that stuff? It's an inch thick.

Tell them to hit the road, sports teams looking for tax payer handouts just piss me off.

To me, this is worse. It's a full-scale bailout. It's bad enough to use tax dollars to build a luxurious new venue, but to then subsidize it and the team so heavily!?

I just hope if Viola doesn't get the job done (same goes with current owners in Phoenixdale) that Bettman finally waves the white flag. In Florida's case, the team finally has a core of talent centered around an potentially elite player they can build around, it'd be criminal to see them unable to do so because of financial constraints, or worse--watch Barkov walk away like so Bouwmeester and so many others have.

The Panthers are so entwined with that arena that I doubt they move. The arena is a profit making machine. They're just trying to squeeze a bit more out of it.

Oh come on guys. It's not like they're bringing in big dollar players with long contracts or anything.

So, how's Luongo doing?
