Interesting.....you would think the Pens might have taken a shot at him.

No, Shero went all in on Fleury this offseason, even though he shouldn't have.

I suppose it's not an entirely bad idea--no reason to ruin Markstrom off the bat by having him start 60+ games and get shelled all season. Timmy at least has experience facing a ton of shots.

I'm surprised as all hell the Flyboys of all teams didn't try. Then again, they probably would've had to part with a player in order to make room for him.

Boyes and Gilbert signed as well.

Nick Bjugstad already injured with a concussion, and surprise, surprise, Jovocop will start the year on IR as well.

I think all the pressure is on Thomas. Hopefully he crumbles under it. :D

Ugh. Why the fuck did they sign Ryan Whitney? It's been scientifically proven the man can't fucking turn anymore. And he wasn't all that great to begin with... the Pens won the Cup because they dealt him, much like the Hawks won after dealing Barker, and the Kings after they dealt Jack Johnson. These guys aren't good players, in fact they are amongst the worst in the NHL at their position, but some of their skills wow pro hockey evaluators to the point that they aren't looking for the right things anymore. And they still get jobs at age 30 after numerous surgeries!

I believe Florida has now officially taken the place of Phoenixdale as the Elephants' Graveyard of NHL careers.
