Well, the comedy of errors continues...now Brian Campbell wants out of Florida.

Gerard Gallant gets the nod, 13th head coach in franchise history.

Probably the best candidate available, save Bylsma. That's not saying much though when Wilson and Crawford were in the mix.

Good move by the Panthros. Gallant got a quick pull his first time around, and his junior credentials are above reproach.

Kulikov gets 3 years, $13m. Will be UFA at end of the deal.

That closest cap hits list for Kulikov is pretty good... and then Emelin shows up. The only guy I'd want less on my team for that price than Emelin is Jack Johnson, and only because no coach seems able to play him less than 25 minutes a night. If I had a choice of JJ or Emelin on my third pairing I'd probably take JJ.

Finally, it looks like the worm is starting to turn. Tallon is reportedly looking to trade some of his vets to make room for up-and-comers.

http://www.thehockeynews.com/blog/rumor ... for-grabs/

Unfortunately those vets have been kinda garbage. I could see Fleischmann being an emergency rental for Pittsburgh if the salaries can somehow be worked out, but I don't see where the others would land.

Miami Heat mascot "Burnie" completely nails Stanley C. Panther and another mascot in a massive front flip fail.

The cool part is that Burnie DGAF afterwards.

By the way, someone on here should have probably mentioned that Jagr passed Gordie Howe for 3rd place in points. Have that man checked for PEDs please.

Yeah no doubt. How that guy doesn't have his own thread somewhere around here is beyond me. Guy has been in the league 21 years and is 43.......still putting up points. He's about a season away from passing Mark Messier.....amazing in this day and age of mushy melon. The pansified NHL has given him a shot. A timeless wonder.

Jagr's NHL total points- 1851. Messier 1887. Could happen this year, although doubtful. Probably early next year.
