http://panthers.nhl.com/ Draft Jonathan Huberdeau 3rd overall, unveil a new (and IMO, AWESOME) home jersey, and acquire Brian Campbell and his hefty contract for the incresingly useless Rusty Olesz. Not bad. After the many pratfalls this organization has made over the years, they at least got it right today... |

Agreed, nice threads. Sleek and uses their best colours well. As for Hub, there's no doubting he was amazing this year in junior and during the Mem Cup. People seem to like his grit more than I do. I just hope they don't rush him - he needs to bulk up. |

I'm definitely rooting for Rocco Grimaldi. Dude's actually shorter than me and seems like a pretty good kid. Barely missed out on being the shortest-ever first round pick. |

Did you see Jesus Camp's tie? Dude loves his bible. |

Did you see Jesus Camp's tie? Dude loves his bible. Sure did. I also saw this: Quote: "Much shorter (wait) than yesterday, that's for sure," said Grimaldi. "I knew it was a new day. I knew wherever I was drafted to was where the lord was going to put me. I'm happy to be a Florida Panther." http://panthers.nhl.com/club/news.htm?i ... L|FLA|home One might say he has some penance to serve if that's the case. |

Sending him to the Panthers is a pretty cruel way to test his faith. |

Tallon loves his Hawks. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nhl/n ... LHeadlines Tallon trades for the negotiating rights to Tomas Kopecky. Is Huet next? |

Booth - Weiss - Repik Huberdeau - Santorelli - Dadonov Kopecky - Matthias - Skille Goon - Carter - Grinder Campbell - Garrison Gudbranson - Kulikov Weaver - Ellerby(?) Goalie Clemmensen Yep...there's some huge holes to fill, though that defense is at least beginning to look okay. I'm going to predict the Panthros snag either Maxime Talbot or Simon Gagne...or both. They got money to burn. |

Less than two hours in and the Panthros have already locked up JovoCop, Upshall and Theodore. Hey big spenders. |

This team got my attention... because they're still a joke. See you next July after another bottom 5 finish, Florida. |

Jaysus...$2.75 million per for Sean frickin' Bergenheim? Dude picked a GREAT time for a postseason scoring run. |

Tallon STILL not done. Dude must be bored or something...McArdle for Esposito, Henry for Seabrook (Keith, not Brent), and Duco for Shirokov. |

Jonathan Huberdeau sent down. According to McKenzie he admitted he was getting beat up out there, needs to bulk up. Now I'm hearing Gudbranson might actually be sent down as well. Well, good thing the Panthros stocked up on marginal talent! |

No way Huberdeau is physically ready. Good for them showing a little restraint. I hope Nugent is a shifty one, because he's going to get crushed otherwise. |

Well, good thing the Panthros stocked up on marginal talent! Gudbranson will soon be joining all that marginal talent. What a terrible use of a 3rd overall. |
