"It's called Sex Panther by Odeon. It's illegal in nine countries."

At 53 points and in 11th place, The Panthers' season is an unmitigated disaster. At 55 points and in 7th place, The Habs are in the drivers' seat and ready to make some noise come springtime. I sense this game will have no effect on the overall standings.

Halak gets the nod.

Maxwell will centre Maxim and Darche.

I want to see Sergei Kostitsyn and Ryan O'Byrne shaking and/or baking ce soir.

Booth, Kulikov, and now the Virtual Horton are all down...unless Shawn Matthias suddenly takes the league by storm I don't think there's much hope left in Fla-town.

I got school tonight so unfortunately I'll have to catch Ben Max highlights when I get home.

Habs with a few chances in the first, still goose eggs.

Nothing to report on B.J. Maxx, although Markov did take a stupid end of period penalty.

What a brilliant goal on the PP. Cammalleri fakes the pass to Bergeron at the top of the umbrella, goes cross ice to Markov. Markov one times the pass to Plekanec in front, who has a hard time receiving the pass. The puck deflects up, and Plekanec swats it out of mid-air and into the net.

Getting outshot 20-10 through 2, but have the 1-0 lead. The Habs' PP is just such an incredible weapon.

Maxwell is getting a lot of time playing wing on the top two lines. He whiffed on a chance right after the PP goal, but he's looked decent.

The Habs are getting outplayed, but I think they've limited Florida's chances pretty well. They simply haven't been putting pucks on net. More jam is needed in the third to preserve the win, get an insurance goal or possibly draw a penalty in the process.

I've often said that Montreal-Florida games the most boring ones to watch. Tonight isn't much different. Good guys are ahead, which is all that really matters.

Does any other NHL team consistently play a D at forward? I mean, it's been what... 4 straight years we've done this?

Anyways, I like the current group of six out there. If we're going to improve anywhere, the priority should definitely be at forward.

Makes one wonder why no one did this with Any Elmore.

Matthias gets a penalty shot.... WOW what speed.

You know, someone should tell NHL d-men to not haul down guys on breakaways. It just gives the shooter a second chance. There's no benefit whatsoever. Before, they sometimes didn't call the penalty shot. Now, they ALWAYS do.

Matthias scores, tie game.

Florida can smell blood. Good thing they've got a pop gun offence right now.

Montreal has more goals 4 on 4 than anyone else (10). Of course, a lot of those were early in the year in OT.

Seidenberg is real good. Very underrated dman.

Yup, another snoozer in Sunrise.

Oops sorry. I'm 2-for-2 in unintentional prognostications involving the Panthros if you count my wild guess on the Bertuzzi trade some time ago.

Isn't Matthias the kids they got from Detroit for Brokeback Bert? So they did get something of value for Luongo after all...

Yup. I'm betting him and Fleischmann are a couple kids Kenny would like back.

Seidenberg is good but dude needs to watch where he's clearing it next time.
