Can you say...shit sandwich?

After many years of failure, from the Pavel Bure experiment to the Mike Keenan/Jacques Martin disaster, Alan Cohen has finally bailed out of the hockey business. The Panthros fans on HF are dancing with glee. Give the guy credit--he at least tried...unfortunately he was blindly loyal to the madman running his team until it was too late.

Cohen has spent above the league average on salaries, and Florida's current payroll is around $3 million short of the salary cap.

:haha:

The Siegel-Viner ownership group won't be without the reclusive Cohen, however, as he will remain a major partner. This current deal, which still needs league approval, will see Cohen keep about 25 percent of the team.

He'll still be involved, or at least his money will be.

From the article, it looks like Cohen was the guy with the cash who was funding the losses of the team for so long. It'll be interesting to see if this turns into a mess in a hurry if the now-majority owners have cash flow problems.
