Actually, the turnaround for Ekblad took place last season. He struggled badly to start that new extension, but he turned things around. I was quite shocked at his underlying numbers.
We'll see on Matheson. I think they may come to regret that one. And in any event, he ain't even the best defenseman in his own house! That honor would go to his new wife, gold medalist Emily Pfalzer.
