I'm hearing Darryl Katz is now getting involved, so something may happen...I'm not sure.

Feels like the Connor McDavid trade request is inevitable at this point.

McDavid for Ned. The trade is 1 for 1.

I can't imagine the return McDavid would bring.

Jimmy Carson, Martin Gelinas, $15 million in cash, and the Kings' first-round draft picks in 1989, 1991, 1993.

Evander Kane to Edmo is official. Welcome to the circus.

I don't think it's a bad on-ice move, but the Oilers seem so fragile at the moment, do you really want to bring in more baggage?

I look forward to the Edmonton Oil-Fires.

First Kane game in the books, a blowout of the hapless Habs. We’ll see how it goes from here. Of course Evander scored the first goal.

What a garbage fire of a game. Kassian took a run at Montembeault and Petry just stood there. Fuck that guy.

The hell happened to him? Did that weird eye blowout take more out of him than we thought?

His wife has gotten pretty anti-vax, anti-Canada COVID rules on social media, so the belief is his family wants back in the old U S of A. A bit like Erik Cole.

Mikko Koskinen doesn't even bother to wait for the hot goalie market to form, leaves for the Swiss League. Someone would've signed him here but I think the pressures of Edmonton turned him off of the NHL for good.

Meanwhile, Rishaug is reporting Evander Kane has no desire to stay in Edmonton. He's a warm weather guy, just wanted the McDavid offensive boost.

Well, Koskinen's 2nd swipe at the NHL was not great, don't expect him back.

I imagine they'll bring Smith back if he wants to come back, but they gotta find a goalie to put ahead of him on the depth chart.

Meanwhile all everyone can talk about is a drunken Connor McDavid canoodling with a woman in public who is not his interior designer girlfriend. Honestly I can't believe this sort of thing isn't caught on camera more often given the nature of the Internet and social media.

:haha: :haha: :haha:

I don't know why so many are picking the Oilers for the Presidents trophy this year. Last night was only one game, but I don't believe they have the goal tending to be tops in the league. I guess time will tell. Should be a pretty feisty game Saturday between the Nucks and Oil. McDavid was whining after about the Nucks playing their top power play unit with 10 minutes left and pulling Demko (he has the flu, many of the team do)

So Carolina today signed Halak after Anderson was found to have blood clotting problems. Made me wonder why the Oilers with Skinner and his .861 GAA, and Campbell and his .873 GAA didn't give Halak a shot earlier.

"Halak played with the New York Rangers last season as an assistant to Igor Shesterkin. He had a record of 10-9-5, a goals-against average of 2.72 and a save percentage of .903."

Seriously, why would you not give him a shot? He's cheap, he's available..........what more incentive do they need?

So Campbell and his $5 mil/yr for 4 years has been put on waivers. Pretty sure he doesn't get claimed.

Damn. The Oilers are just unraveling before our very eyes.

Poor Calvin Pickard always ends up on the absolute worst teams in the league.

Blackwood gives up 2 goals on 41 shots; Skinner gives up 3 goals on 18 shots and SJ beats the Oilers. And these are the guys most were expecting to win the Prez trophy, and now they are on the bottom of the league. :suicide: :haha:
