Sacco managed to save his job during the homestand, not sure he'll be able to do so here. Avs have an extended break after this 3-game swing through NW Canada, so if there was time to make a change, this would be it. If Sacco is still the coach after this, even if the Avs win, he'll probably be the coach for the rest of the season.

Colorado is also a bit banged up. Brad Malone was called up and will likely take a spot on the 4th line.

Honestly...I don't know. It will likely be David Quinn of the Lake Erie Monsters. Avs simply don't look outside the "family" for replacements. No candidates, or thinking, is allowed outside the box. I think Quinn will make a great head coach someday...but I'm not certain he's ready yet. I definitely don't want Randy Carlyle, just don't think he'd be a good fit here. That leaves, what, Keenan? No thanks. And not Martin if he should become available soon.

But if anyone is to blame for this mess, it's Pierre Lacroix. He's not the GM, but he still exerts way too much influence for a guy who ISN'T the GM. No one really knows who's making the decisions in Denver these days. If it really is Sherman, he should be fired yesterday along with Sacco.
