The season hasn't even started and the Red Wings have already lost defenseman Mark Pysyk for 4 to 6 months. Pysyk recently underwent Achilles Tendon surgery. To fill his roster spot the Red Wings signed defenseman Robert Hägg a free agent who last played for the Florida Panthers. Hägg was signed to a 1-year contract of $800,000.
