Larkin with a hat trick and unvaccd with 2 goals. Seider with a beautiful hold at the line, entry and backhand sauce setup on one of Bert's, Hronek with a hilarious bomb pass that messed the goalie up and Larkin put in.

Mason Geertsen with a hilarious "Go get vaccinated" chirp of Bert.

Then everyone's got covid and they've shut er down.

Stevey Y complaining about asymptomatic players not being able to play. Give me a fucking break, man.

Wings back on the ice on NYE against the Capitals.

Larkin was player of the week a week ago, I think.

Not sure who is still in protocols.

Apparently a disgruntled John Klingberg is coming your way. Congrats.

Man, how do we feel about 8x8 for him? It looks like Dougie Hamilton $$$ when he is decidedly not Dougie Hamilton.

That could be a Christian Ehrhoff-level albatross there. Obviously Lucky Bowness is an old-school grind-em-up type of guy, but there's certainly reason to believe that Klingberg is on a pretty steep decline. He'll be 30 by the time next season rolls around and has dealt with a few pretty serious injuries over the course of his career.

Someone is going to give him big money, and they're likely going to regret it.

Wings get a shutout against Buffalo and then a 3-2 comeback win in yesterday's matinee. I was off and hoping to watch, but it dumped about a foot and a half of snow on us and so the day was spent shoveling and making tunnels with the kids. Good day. :)

Justin Abdelkader signs a PTO with AHL Grand Rapids. Ken Holland is readying a contract offer I'm sure.

Larkin is playing like a man possessed right now, reminiscent of his 2018-2019 season(where he only went 3 games without a point a single time I believe).

Mo Seider is one hell of a player.

Marc Staal...is not.

I am hoping he wins the Calder Trophy this year.

I think he's the odds-on favorite. Both he and Raymond should be finalists, though I think the league hates to nominate two players for any award from the same team. I say do it, the only other guy who'd qualify is Mercer, and he's kinda fallen off as the Devils continue to circle the drain.

Anyway, this gave me a chuckle. Ryan Strome is trending on Twitter for pulling the shootout equivalent of The Stefan.

The best part is when Greiss turns to him and shrugs.

Someone on HF remarked after Yzerman signed him to a decent-sized contract that Robby Fabbri could be a legit star if he just managed to stay healthy.

Well...not this year. Torn ACL, out for the rest of the season.

Brutal news for Fabbri :x :x

Brutal goal by Ned! That's some 7-8 year old goaltending move!

Yeah, 3rd ACL tear for him. I don't know how many you can have before you're just done.

That Nedelkovic goal is one of the worst I've ever seen. Like, I don't recall that ever happening in an NHL game before. Even Jonathan Quick, the King (no pun intended) of bad goals, hasn't given up a stinker that bad.

Wings lose a wild one in Edmonton 7-5. They went down 3-0 early, 4-1, 4-4, 5-5, then gave up the winner and EN.

Leddy seems like pretty much a straight line skater who doesn't stickhandle much on his way up the ice. Puck protection instead of shiftiness.

Blashill's done. 5 6+ goal games this month. No glaring injuries. Team comes out seemingly unprepared every game. They're supposed to be bad, but even this is a shitshow.
