I attended his funeral in Glens Falls, in support of his son Gord, our associate coach. He left a hell of a legacy there.

He's left quite a legacy in hockey. For what it's worth from Don Cherry, he said on Grapeline that he likely got screwed out of his NHL career when he stood up to Norris and said he would join a union when he was 25 years old. Said that he never played in the NHL againafter that, but I can't confirm the timing.

RIP Bill.
