Even if they manage to outdo the Avs' mark of futility I still don't think it ranks as worse because this Wings team went into the season knowing full well they were gonna suck. Colorado was in the midst of a transition (a rather abrupt one) but they were hoping for more than just a tank year.

Jesus...I'm reading on Twitter that Mantha has been recovering from a punctured lung.

Yeah from the Muzzin takedown from the sounds of it.

It was a Muzzin takedown.

Mantha will return to action tomorrow against Buffalo.

For some reason known only to the Hockey Gods, Detroit beat Boston last night for the second time this season. The final was 3 - 1 and Jonathan Bernier stood on his head all night long. Andreas Athanasiou scored two goals last night. His first goal-scoring night in 20 games.

Holy moly Tuesday night's comeback win against the Habs was a complete trainwreck for the visiting team.

If the Wings could only play the Habs for 82 games.

Red Wings become the first team to be eliminated before the trade deadline since the 2003-04 Penguins, and in their 63rd game, which is the first time a team has managed that feat since the 1995-96 Senators in their 63rd game.

C'mon, Dylan. You're going to be the next captain. Don't do shit like this.

Wings manage to beat not only a desperate Blackhawks squad, they also beat the mighty Bolts in a shootout and halt a losing streak to Tampa that dates back to 2016(!).

Yeah...that's not a good look there, Dylan.

That Tampa losing streak was bruuuuuutal. But then, the Wings are and the Bolts aren't, so...

Even though Tampa had played Boston the night before and was not at full strength it was still really good to finally get that damn primate off our backs.

I'm guessing Wings fans are fine if the season doesn't start up again.
