One-year, 2-million.

Veteran scorer on a team loaded with offensive talent. Good landing spot for him. He can also replace Benn for a bit if he's not ready to start the season.

Can't help but think this might precipitate another move. Can't really trade Nichushkin now since his value is at an all-time low, but perhaps during the season if he turns it around? Of course they gotta sign him first.

Good signing. I was hoping the Isles would sign him. Oh well.

If the Stars do anything else, it should be move one of their goalies. Anywhere. For anything. Then trade for Bishop or Halak. I don't see that happening though. Any of it.

Good signing by Jim Nill. I was sort of hoping the Red Wings would take a shot at re-signing him as well. I figure in Detroit's system he'd be good for 15 to 20 goals / regular season. He's also a guy who just lights it up once the playoffs start.

Bummer. Valeri Nichushkin reportedly bolting for the KHL.

Have to think Nill and the Stars anticipated this happening by signing Hoodlum.
