IMO it was a mistake to create a separate TV station and radio station that broke away from the RSN chains. But I don't blame them for fighting for their lives right now. People's jobs are on the line.

That said...this impasse needs to end, even if that means defeat. It can't go on where I'm 8 hours away in a different state watching games, and my old man and friends who still live in CO can't.

I do love the fact that they're airing this particular rant during EVERY intermission on Avs broadcasts. It's like they've fired every arrow in the quiver and all they have left is their beloved, avuncular, folksy grandpa-type media personality who just recently worked an entire NHL season while undergoing cancer treatment. Like, if THIS doesn't sway the masses, then nothing will.

Solid move linking this with Pete's infamous dive into the stands to defend his teammates. If a player did that today he'd probably get suspended the entire season.

I see some lines in the sand are gettin' drawn. Jake Shapiro, a local Denver beat writer who looks like he's about 12 years old, and Kyle Keefe got into it on Twitter recently. Honestly I have no beef whatsoever with Shapiro or Keefe but it ended with the former blocking the latter online.
