http://www.denverpost.com/avalanche/ci_ ... day-likelyWithout a doubt the 2nd best player to have played his entire career for the Avalanche/Nordiques organization. Probably my favorite Avs player of all time (let's face it, Ray was a Bruin, no matter who retired his # first).
Loved him when he was a freewheeling sniper with Sakic, Tanguay, and Forsberg, but really grew to appreciate him when he completely changed his game and did a lot more of the dirty work when paired with Paul Stastny later in his career.
It's not official, he says he wants time to mull it over this summer, but he asked for the puck after tonight's season finale. Yet another sign this is probably it.
Sure wish he could've had a better sendoff, but it's a stellar career nonetheless. And probably the last number the Avs will be retiring for a long, long time.
