Okay, can anyone make what the hell is going on with Corey Perry and the Blackhawks?

First he's made a healthy scratch and we're told he's "away from the team" and won't be back for the foreseeable future. They refuse to divulge any information outside of saying that it was the organization who sent him away rather than him choosing to go. But then even that's refuted by Perry's agent who says he's attending to a "personal matter." For an organization that promised transparency after a decade-long coverup of sexual abuse of a--or as it turns out more than one--player, this is beyond a bad look.

The juicy, totally unsubstantiated rumor is that something might have gone down between Perry and a player's mom during the moms' trip, but again, just scuttlebutt on social media. Hopefully nothing creepy or untoward, so long as both parties were consenting then it's fucking hilarious.

I mean, Perry and Mrs. Bedard can't be too far apart in age, can they?

Well, that's whom the speculation is centering around it appears.

Man, I was wrong to say the rumors are just centering around Bedard's mom, they are full-on RAMPANT in the Twitter/X-sphere.

That makes me think this is about as true as the rumors surrounding Ted Nolan and the Dominator's wife, and wasn't there something reportedly going on with the Canucks between a spouse of either Kirk McLean and Jeff Brown or something like that? Either way those rumors were debunked...but not the ones surrounding Craig Janney's wife and Brendan Shanahan since those two ended up marrying later.

Did Corey Perry sign in Chicago for a year, so he could bang Bedard's Mom and then sign with another team in the division next year so he could ask Connor Who's Your Daddy or say he banged his Mom every time he played against him? That's the kind of thing he would do but I'm not convinced that he's smart enough for that kind of long con.
