A Habs win in the last three games, combined with a Tampa regulation loss in their last three games, will clinch second. :viking:

GO HABS. Hawks have been winning without Kane & Toews, would be nice to see the Habs put a stop to that. Budaj in net, laits go!

Brisk first. Galchenyuk left early with a lower body injury. Hope he comes back.

Proof you don't always need rough stuff to have a great hockey game. This game was all about hard skating, great passing and smart positional defence (very few giveaways). Only two penalties all game.

Vanek made two absolutely mind-boggling passes to Pacioretty tonight. Max nearly iced it after Vanek sent him one that went through the slot and past FOUR Hawks. Time stops when TV has the puck.

I think Beaulieu's better than Tinordi right now. Bit more of a high roller, but he's confident and can really handle the puck well.

Nice to see Gorges back. PK's better when Josh is around.

Apparently Dater has decided to troll the Habs tonight. Comes up with this winner:

Watch Hossa's tying goal, and you'll see Boods giving up a half-second earlier on the play. Saw that a lot in Denver

Really? You can tell he gave up a split second before Hossa got a perfect centering feed to tap it in? Wow, what an eye.

Two things one should never question of Peter Budaj are his work ethic and his character. The only reason he didn't make it as an NHL starter is that he just isn't plain good enough. But he's a good backup.

Oh well, Avs pretty much had to run the table anyway. Now this just reinforces the idea.

This is why:

On a side note, did I hear correctly that this is the first time all season the Hawks have won in OT!?

You indeed heard correctly. Until last night they had 5 shootout wins and 15 OTL/SOL.

Then there's the Devils. 0-11 in shootouts.
