Someone should apply for the new opening for the Traveling Jagrs.

Time to cut bait on this one. It was worth a shot and it didn't work.

He's being shut down until he's completely healthy, which might never happen.

I truly think this would've gone much better had some team signed him in the offseason. Making a 46-year-old guy try and get into game form mid-season is probably too much to ask.

I just can't believe NO ONE thought he was worth the risk. Montreal should've been banging down his door this summer once they screwed things up with Radulov.

Now they're saying a mutual parting is being sought.

To quote the dying Klingon Chancellor in Star Trek VI: Don't let it end this way!

Happy Euro Trails!

The Jags Stallion is on waivers......I would say thanks....but it just didn't pan out in Calgary.

Hope it works out for him but this is probably the end of the road.

Cody fucking McLeod gets claimed, but the 2nd leading all-time scorer in NHL history behind Wayne goddamn Gretzky clears. So many idiots in the NHL it's not even funny. I mean, WHAT IN HELL do organizations like Buffalo and Arizona have to lose!? If nothing else you get some butts in seats, and ratchet up jersey sales for a fair bit.

So it looks like there are now only five players left in the NHL who were active in the 90s. Thornton, Marleau, Luongo, Chara, and Cullen. And Cullen is definitely done after this season.

And Jagr started in '91!

What the fuck. Doesn't seem like that long ago we were talking about the last players left from the 80's. Chelios and Recchi?
