Dude, Ward is done. He's got a team employing one of the better defensive systems in front of him and he STILL can't win them games.

Reimer would be a far better alternative, problem with him is he can't stay healthy, so whoever the backup is, he can't suck.

It'd be kinda cool to see if the Isles signed Reimer, then, maybe then, between him and Halak, you'd have a true franchise goalie.

Whatever the case, Calgary can't afford to whiff here.

Riemer is like the hockey version of Kyle Orton.

I watched him go Sieve the other night against the Oil for goodness sakes and all he has to do is play backup for one of the best teams in the league.

Odd, Cam Ward has a career 2.70 G.A.A and a .909 Sv%. Guess he had a couple of good playoff runs to up his stature, but expected better for some reason.

Seemed to me with Reimer in his Leaf days is he was good when playing a starters load and not so good when not getting the game time.

What the Flames do about goaltending for me may be the second most interesting off season story after Stamkos. Realistically I would say they have none yet, starter and backup.

Last few days I've seen mention of trades for big names MAF, Bishop, and Varlamov. Though I think if we are sitting here Monday after draft weekend and nothing is done then Reimer is their guy come July.
