Oh, didn't know he was the guy who told Feaster to pick Jankowski. Whoops.

Is Jankowski not the (lanky) shit anymore? Seven goals in 16 games for Providence College isn't too shabby.

You're the first person who has ever wanted to be George Johnson.

BURKE'S FIRST MOVE as interim GM. And, yup, that's pretty much the kind of acquisition you'd expect.

Well, after reading that ESPN Olympics article, Jack Johnson becoming a Flame is a definite possibility.

What little respect I had left for Brian Burke as a hockey mind went out the window with that Scott Burnside Olympics piece. The guy is basically the GM equivalent of Mike Keenan (and yes, I remember Keenan was a GM as well). An insanely stubborn old-school guy who can't or refuses to acknowledge the game is changing, and is largely overrated because of one Stanley Cup win he didn't have a lot to do with.

I think Burke is an outstanding human being and a great ambassador for the game. I just don't think he has a clue on how to build a winner. Calgary fans better hope he picks a GM soon and that GM does his own thing and Burke stays the hell out of the way. Somehow I don't think any things are going to happen.

Bob Hartley's getting jobbed once again by an incompetent front office. He deserves better than this.

Old Tyme Hockey resurgence!!!!!

Hartley and Burke seem to be having an Old tyme hockey farewell tour this year.

What's even more entertaining is the comments from the multitude of wagons who don't like this and want to blame/punish someone. Still trying to figure out how people in this game got so sensitive and started taking themselves and the game so seriously. Personally I think TSNs continual over analysis every time a player makes passing contact or utters a word is partially responsible.

I even liked that Torts stormed the Flames dressing room after period 1. Apparently he must have done no preparation for this game as the starting of the 4th line was announced well in advance by Hartley. These teams both aren't very good....so might as well be entertaining. The amount of mob press this is getting is just dumb.

Too bad I missed this one. Looks like a heck of a game.

Evander Kane likes this and so do I!

Remember folks Hockey is not an emotional sport full of testosterone! Stop the emasculation of the game!

Tell you the truth, I think Burke may very well keep Hartley after this.

Coach John Tortorella was suspended 15 days on Monday, a span that will include six games starting with Tuesday night's game in Edmonton. He missed practice to attend a disciplinary hearing in New York with NHL officials. Tortorella got in trouble for entering the Calgary dressing room area, in an apparent attempt to get at Flames coach Bob Hartley, after the first period of a game marred by a line brawl following the opening face-off.

I do not like this! To me this was a team discipline issue however the NHL front office has gone all Obama administration. 15 games is way over the top.

Hartley was also fined $25,000 for icing a line of NHL players. :jerkbag:

15 DAYS, dude. Not 15 games. He will miss 6 games.
