Well every thread should start like this. The Flames may win but they likely will not. Their goaltending is shoddy (or porous) and their D even less spectacular. On the odd night they face a backup or Hartley throws trash cans around they might score in bunches....this also will be a rarity (see recent Dallas game).

Likely they will be outscored and outgamed in the 1st period (see tonights owning by the Blues) and will attempt some type of Miracle of Fatima comeback which will fall short but might provide 5 minutes of entertainment adverting the inevitable beer bottle toss.

Bright spots are Jiri Hudler, Cervenka and maybe Wideman...why?....because they just got there........but by mid shortened season will have embraced the not so care attitude that the rest of the team has.

Rants in this thread will include: Where was the D? Why was Stajan going that way? Is Iginla in the lineup? Why pinch with 2 men behind you? Cory Sarich? What did Theo say on twitter? and does anyone know what moving their feet means?

All that being said. tonight 2/15/2013 the Flames got eviscerated for 4 goals in the first period with a shaky and somewhat sacrificial Joey Macdonald in net (after chasing Leland Irving for 2 after 4 shots ). Wideman decided to score on the PP in the 2nd (mind you after being a -3 in the first) to make it 4-1 for anyone still watching.

Who cares that they won last night.....Friday night's 5-1 drubbing by the Blue Jackets was disgusting. Probably the worst game I have seen yet this year. Kipper was waving at the puck with NO D in sight. This game got turned off in the 3rd period......
