Habs end up underselling a former first round pick who never truly established himself on the team's top four. Buffalo get a smooth skating defenceman with untapped potential prone to the occasional brain fart.

I like him, but felt he was a bit reckless because of his decent size. Possibly got his noggin bumped a few too many times.

3rd round?? that's it! Ugh, after getting Drouin, I thought maybe Bergevin was starting to see things a little clearer. We will see.

That's two D gone now. One would obviously assume a D should be coming our way via trade, but who the hell knows.

To me, this looks like Bergy is removing Boolieu so that LV is stuck with choosing either Plexx or Emmmy - if anyone from the Habs.

Hopefully they do us a favour.

They'll take Davidson and the Habs will be down three NHL defencemen...

Well this seems like a bad move...

I get that they wanted to get something for him before possibly losing him for nothing in the expansion draft, but that's all they could get for a reasonably good puckmoving top-four defenseman?

What's more, I haven't seen much of the Habs over the years, but losing both Subban and Beaulieu in consecutive years is really gonna hurt their ability to generate offense.

The Habs don't believe you generate offence from the back end. Not a joke. Defence chips to open ice or makes a quick outlet pass.
