Someone on Twitter posted stats for both Vesey and fellow Hobey Baker winner Kevin Porter. Porter's were actually better. And if you saw Kevin Porter in the NHL, well....

I'd have been fine with either of those, although I never thought TO were really in it for him. I thought it was Boston all the way. I'd have been fine with that. Now instead, I hate the asshole.

The Bruins' presentation to Jimmy Vesey is just going to be an hour of Cam Neely shouting "GRIT!!!!!!!!!!!!" at the top of his lungs.

Eghad....the Bruins are stuck in a rut.

Vesey projects to be a decent middle-six forward according to this, which is fine but given the hype surrounding the bidding war for his services a lot of fans will be expecting more.

It was mid-August when he hit FA. If he'd been a UFA on July 1st nobody would give the slightest fuck about him. He was lucky, or unlucky, enough to be a UFA in the slowest hockey news month of the year. All eyes were on him. Can he live up to the hype? I sure as hell hope not!
