Got to see Eichel play tonight. Sabres prospects vs Bruins prospects. He didn't fail to impress. Scored the OT winner. Looking forward to the season!

I was at the Bell Centre during the World Juniors when Eichel did that ridiculous behind the net pass. Insane play for a player of any age, let alone an 18-year-old.

He's flying a little under the radar because of McDavid, but I see him as Malkin to Connor's Ovechkin, as far as 1-2's go. Wouldn't shock me if he put up 60 points this year.

As Pierre McGuire would say: "GET EXCITED BUFFALO."

I'm beyond excited! I'm counting the days to the home opener like its Christmas. Makes all the money I spent on my mini pack the last few years worth it to hang on to my priority ticket status.

I think they're going to be good this year. They're probably the most improved team over the off-season.

They also won't be trading away the goalie if he starts winning games this year. :spin:

Got to see Eichel score his first NHL goal tonight. It's his dad's birthday. He's awesome.

So does this make it a "Jack Eichel - Sploosh!" thread?

The Eichel goal and the ensuing song/fan reaction put a smile on my face in what was otherwise a shitty hockey night.

It was awesome to be there. I haven't seen a reaction like that here in a long time. Maybe '94 when Dave Hannan scored in OT at almost 2am.

According to the Sabres’ Facebook, Eichel has signed for 8 year, $10 million per.

Jesus that’s a lot of money. Makes the Draisaitl deal look like err, a deal.
