Miller cracks first. This is the unedited audio of his post-game interview after the Pitts game.

Understandable. He's covered for this team for a while now.

Regier should've been fired a while ago. Losing both Briere and Drury wasn't his fault, but ever since then he's overcompensated by throwing big $$$ at his own players and free agents. I'm still flabbergasted at that Leino deal. Wouldn't be surprised if Buffalo uses one of their compliance buyouts on him. Hopefully Myers can halt his descent toward becoming Jay Bouwmeester 2.0.

I dunno...the talent on this team is still pretty staggering, but Regier's big spending spree yielded diddly squat. Sadly, I think Ruff will get the hook before Regier, but I still think the guy should at least be following him out the door.

Unbelievable. I really don't understand why Regier still has a job.

Apparently even the Sabres are getting sick of Kaleta's shit.

Bad teams tend to lose patience in their goons and pests pretty quickly. Suddenly you realize how futile it is to have someone head hunting and injuring players when the games don't matter.

It's cleaning up after a guy like this when your team sucks... tough enough to stay in games, let alone expend energy sticking up for some dipshit on your 3rd line.

Ryan Miller was even less vague:

Mike Harington on Twitter wrote:
Miller on Kaleta: "That's just drama and he needs to just grow up. ... He had a stupid play in a game. He sat, he was punished. "

Damn.

I would not be surprised if Miller were traded this offseason. Not because of this quote per se, but there's been rumblings that he's requested a trade, and I imagine he's just plain fed up with this organization.

Tyler Myers needs to learn how to play D. Milbury showed a hilarious/depressing clip of Myers carrying the puck into the offensive zone, losing the puck behind the net, then staying in front of the net, looking to score, seemingly oblivious to the fact that he's a defenceman.

My favourite part was Milbury ripping a young, freakishly tall d-man about his game. Like he could recognize a good one if he had it for several years.

The Sabres have officially pulled the plug--they're definitely going to make things interesting this offseason.

He was singing a different tune tonight in the post-game interviews. I'll see if I can find a clip/audio.

Kind of an under-the-radar deal, but worth noting nonetheless.

http://www.diebytheblade.com/2013/6/30/ ... in-pick-35

Andrej Sekera gets dealt to Carolina for Jamie McBain and a 2nd rounder.

I don't quite get why Rutherford threw in the 2nd rounder. Is Sekera that much better than McBain? I know McBain has some serious upside...but then I guess if Carolina still believed that, they wouldn't have been shopping him as early as the trade deadline.

Speaking of frustration, Buffalo revealed their new thirds, and MOTHER OF GOD do they look awful.

Honestly, I thought stupidity of this sort left with Golisano. Silly me.

A little odd, but I don't think they're that bad. That being sad, I won't be adding that to my collection. I would have preferred that they feature the b and sword logo.
