Tale of the tape

Cory Schneider vs. Ryan Miller

This one has all the makings of a disappointing outing for Vancouver:
  • Despite going 2-1 on this road trip, the Canucks really haven't played that well so far on the road. They gave up the first two goals in Toronto, couldn't score against Montreal, and AV started juggling his defensive pairings in Ottawa.
  • Even though they are listed as the worst home team in the league (1-6-1) right now, the Sabres can't be as bad as that - they are 3-0-1 in their last four...
  • Cory Schneider is 3-0 and has a sparkling 0.969 GAA, while Ryan Miller is 1-1-1 and 0.862; Miller is not THAT bad, and Schneider is not THAT good.

4-2 Buffalo.

I concur with everything you wrote -- a lot of bad law-of-averages mojo to be had here.

I think in typical Canuck fashion we play better in front of our backup though, at least defensively.

Going to probably miss the 1st period and a half. I ate a buffalo chicken wrap for lunch and see that as a positive mojo sign. :viking:

3-1 after 2, I think the 3rd could turn into the twins show though, that line has 13 of the 25 shots so far.

Edler makes it 3-2 as the powerplay keeps clicking

I really wish the Sabres could hold a lead. They were still ahead when I left work. It's only a 5 minute drive home.

Just caught the 3rd. Very entertaining. Glad to get away from this one with a loser point. :spin:
