Not much to say about this. B's have been meandering through the play-in....at this point they are better dropping to the 4th seed and avoiding the Islanders.

In a preferred world the Islanders and Flyers play it out.

I think the Bruins would mop the floor with the Isles.

I watched the Isles/Panthros series and I thought the Islanders looked like they did last year during the playoffs.. If the Bruins aren't ready the Canes will get them but I suppose that goes for any team at this point in the playoffs.

This seems to be an instant replay of last years playoffs in the east with all the same matchups.

Tuukka Rask opts out. Sounded pretty unenthused in the post-game and I think his wife is pregnant? Anyways, he's out, Halak in.

Holy shit. That's huge. Granted, he hasn't exactly been great, but to just bail? If he's got a kid on the way, I guess that's one thing, but I still don't see fans ever forgiving him for leaving in the playoffs. Even if he comes back, 2 week quarantine, and let's face it, Halak isn't exactly known for his durability. If he gets hurt and they wind up going with an AHLer in net... Oof.

Nope he'll never win this one back, not with Boston fans. But who knows...its a brave new world where everyone is in touch with their sensitive side. I don't know his particular circumstances so I can't condemn him. If it is indeed a family emergency then its quite understandable....if its just I can't handle being away from my family in the bubble, that's crap. To make the comments he did the other day and then just up and quit is letting your whole team down. Everyone had the opportunity to gracefully opt out some time ago. Only Tuukka and those close know and they don't care to share in depth so that's that.

So long and good luck Tuukka :doom:

Now WTF is the problem with "I hurt my oblique celebrating" Pastrnak? What's going on with this team? Do they even want to be there? Opt this whole team out and bring back the Leafs.

I had no problem with Rask acknowledging that the games are not up to normal playoff intensity but think the team and league are happy to have his ass out for saying it out loud. They have a product to sell.

Tampa series tied at 1. Bolts could use Stammer, I think the Bruins will just outlast them.

Ouch.....Cassidy bitches about officiating but Game 3 was just a plain ol ass whooping. Obviously back to backs don't work for Halak.

Never did. Just be glad he didn't hurt himself.

TBay goes up 3-1 in the series. Halak has an .833 Save Pct the last two games.

Big oaf Nick Ritchie boarded Yanni Gourde with a very late on the play hit from behind. A real momentum killer.

Also, Sergachev had an epic game, playing 25 mins. Damn.

Bruins appear to be disinterested and ready to go home although I am not sure they all really showed up in the first place. Too many distractions this season.

This team has been good for a very long time but the end is near.

Cam and Don have to start stepping forward with what comes next after the core.

Maybe they could ship Tuukka to Calgary and get Johnny Hockey in exchange. Bring that BC boy home!

Trading for Gaudreau isn't that bad an idea for the Bruins. Not sure who Calgary would want in return, but perennially contending has left the Bs prospect pool a little thin.

I'd imagine it's Boston or Finland for Rask.

Who knows...maybe Milan or Zac can tell him how great it is in Calgary! Just don't ask Czarnik! It is a bit odd but Calgary does have a thing for Boston.

If Tim Thomas can break a sabbatical to play in Florida, anything is possible.

And like that the Bruins season is over. The boys looked dejected, especially Krejci. I know I'm programmed to hate the Bruins, but I've got a lot of respect for David.
