Sorry but re-calling a kid and inserting him on your top line is a panic move. We've seen this all before.

Julien's game as I stated previously has run its course. He no longer has the team nor the buy in to implement his system.

He will be the first casualty should they continue to bomb. If they are still out of the hunt come Feb I would expect to see him go. Followed by Lucic and Marchand and probably some young guy to entice another team to take those salaries.

Chiarelli gets a pass even though this is his mess.

Present your views as you see fit.

In updated news Pastrnak will not play tonight against the Pens but will instead be inserted on the Lucic, Krejci line against the Devils tomorrow night.

Well, IMO a panic move is trading your top forward prospect for Martin Erat. or moving two of your best scoring forwards so you can make room for a goofy Russian goalie. Or whatever Minnesota ends up doing to address their goaltending situation. Putting a good prospect on your top line on a team in need of a jumpstart is just experimentation. I actually commend Julien for putting the kid in a position to succeed, whereas most coaches would have him toil on the 4th line with a couple grinders for a handful of shifts and then wonder why he didn't score.

I don't really see that happening here. Even if the B's wanted to trade Lucic I don't think they'd get away with it. For better or worse he defines the team. But they won a game they had no business winning last night so they are in a spot for now. Even a meat head can see that they can afford no more Tyler Seguin moves. There are plenty of other disaster movies unfolding in the NHL as you mentioned. This team certainly has problems related to effort level and heart.....that would make Claude an easy target but I bet you he hangs on too. Threatening from the Youngling Jacobs should be enough for now.

I even read somewhere about the firing of Cam Neely!!!

So, Jay, still feel the same about Pastrnak?

I wish Roy were more open to using rookies. He was last year...got oddly conservative this year.

Sure.....I didn't say I wasn't a hopeful fan. I just didn't see him as the be all end all to the B's woes. But hell maybe he is! The rest of the team actually giving a shit might have something to do with it as well.

If nothing else he brings some youthful exuberance and talent to the team. His english is also impressive.

4 in a row! They looked like Stanley Cup Champs last night against Tampa.

So much for Subban. 2 terrible goals and he's out before the halfway mark. Atrocious debut. Not ready for primetime. Hope he forgets about this one and flushes it.

Niklas Hjalmarsson takes a Chara slapshot where the sun don't shine.

Krejci quite possibly out for the rest of the season. Tried to hit Steen the other night.

Bruins add an intriguing former prospect at the deadline in Brett Connolly.

Still only 22.

They also snagged Maxime Talbot at 50% off.

Breaks his finger in practice off a Seidenberg slapper out 6 weeks before even playing 1 game. I hope Calgary bitch slaps them tonight.

7-2-1 over their last 10 (81 points) with 13 games to go. The playoffs are under control for now. Yesterday's game against Washington with a chance to move up is an indication of what the playoffs are going to look like. Holtby (who for some reason seems to always punt the Bruins) slammed the door and the Bruins couldn't buy a goal.

I'd certainly rather see the Rangers in the first round then the Habs.....but I suppose the Habs are like a rite of Spring anyway.

I really don't get the fact that Washington and Boston might have to switch divisions in the playoffs. There should only be a crossover if the 5th place team is better than the 4th place in the other division.

If Boston finishes 8th and the Rangers first then Boston gets switched into the Metro Division playoffs. They play the Rangers in Round 1, and in Round 2, they'd play the winner of Islanders/Penguins.

Washington in this scenario would play the Atlantic's top team (for now we'll say Montreal), and then have to play the winner of Red Wings/Lightning in Round 2 if they won.

We could end up with a scenario where a team from the Metro wins the Atlantic Division playoff and a team from the Atlantic wins the Metro Division playoff. If we're having divisional playoffs, at least put the guys in the right fucking division when four teams from each qualify.
