Kane gets scratched for showing up to a game in a track suit.

I really hope some intrepid, open-minded GM sets poor Evander free. Winnipeg is too stuffy for him. Not sure how much high-end scoring ability he has left untapped. Is 30 goals is ceiling? Or even that?

Nashville with a big playoff move? Buffalo?

I would say LA, but he's not playing for Columbus.

Man, skipped out on a game after Byfuglien threw said track suit in the shower? This is fascinating to see unfold.

KPD is saying some hilarious shit right now too.

Convinced #Bruins have a team culture that could cope with and help reshape, focus Kane. Other clubs will believe same.

Of course, I am still convinced PK Subban would stop diving if he played for #Bruins.

“There’s a standard that everyone needs to live up to. We’re professionals, we make a lot of money, and we’re expected to uphold a certain standard, and that’s the code we live by,” Kane’s teammate, Blake Wheeler, told reporters Thursday. “That’s just the way it is. You know, if you don’t like it, then there’s other places to go. This is the way we do things.”

And now Kane might have been placed on IR? Que pasa?

Apparently he's playing through a nagging injury and putting off surgery, and he might just say 'fuck it' and take the surgery. Of course, he's never played a playoff game before, so that's a huge sacrifice even if his teammates hate him or whatever.

Immensely talented, and if he didn't get hurt so damned much would probably have some pretty gaudy numbers. But unfortunately, not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Wasn't Buff a malcontent just this pre-season? Now he's the one enforcing what ever the team code is in a heavy handed manner? If this is true what a mess and someone may be able to get some high talent at a discount.

Edit:

Byfuglien said:

"We’re just a tight group. It is what it is. It’s just among us… it’s things we’ve got to handle ourselves."
Byfuglien did say that team rules are to be followed, no matter how incidental they may seem
"I’m sure you have rules in your household," he said. "And if the kids don’t stick to it, you’ve got to discipline them. It is what it is."

Yeah personally I don't think Kane is going to play for the Jets again. He may of needed discipline but this is not a child and public humiliation was not the best path to take.

And the sweepstakes are over, for at least the next 4-6 months: Kane will finally have surgery on his ailing shoulder.

The timing is curious, to be sure.

And Chevy pulls off his first blockbuster. In fact, it's the first player-for-player trade the Nu-Jets have made since moving to Winnipeg.

Kinda wish they'd have thrown in the rights to Burmistrov as well.

Everyone keeps saying Tim Murray took Cheveldayoff to the cleaners, but I think it's a good deal for both sides, especially considering that IMO Bogosian is above-average at best. Myers has struggled mightily of late but he still has more upside.

Jets banking on a return to form for Myers. They're not the only team that thinks they can fix him. A tall order (haha, I'm here all week).
