Dead last in the league, and the only team that has yet to get a point. And the Penguins are coming to town.

Claude Noel called his team out in the press recently. Hey Claude, here's a hint, if your top line of Ladd-Little-Wheeler has yet to register a point (I think Ladd actually scored his first goal of the season the other night) then why don't you break that line up!? And again I just don't get why they keep putting Bryan Little at center, and why Blake friggin' Wheeler is anywhere near the top line.

Still a few games of good will left before the feel the local heat. You aren't playing in Atlanta anymore boys.

Burmistrov - Antropov - Wellwood?

Well, doesn't seem like an effective line, but it scored in the first 8 seconds of the game.

Burmistrov is a player you can build around. Still not entirely convinced Kane is, but we'll see.

At least we don't have to re-name them Can't-Winnipeg. :rimshot:

Well...

Ladd - Little - Wheeler
Kane - Jokinen - Wellwood
Ponikarovsky - Burmistrov - Antropov
Slater - Thorburn - Miettinen

Enstrom - Byfuglien
Hainsey - Bogosian
Clitsome - Stuart

Pavelec
Montoya

Well...their power play should look good at least.

Not sure. He hasn't been cut yet, but I'm reading that this is the way the lineup's shaking out, so I'm not sure where they'd put him, unless it was as a 4th line grinder.

Wonder with guys like that and Strome are teams saying they don't want to burn a year on a shortened season and don't need the risk of him getting into games and doing great then dealing with the optics of still sending them down.

On an unrelated note, if the Jets get off to another bad start, they can always fire Perry Pearn.

And now he's not.

I must say I've always been perplexed as to why teams even bother putting a high draft pick on the ice but won't put them in for anything more than a 4th line role. Seems like a complete waste of time to me. Just my opinion.

Why are they still in the SE division? Shouldn't take 2 seasons to re-align them somehow.

No realignment will happen until the league and PA agree to it. The last attempt at realignment was little more than a ploy by the league to make the PA look bad before the lockout they knew was going to happen.

If the Jets don't make changes by the deadline, I'll be convinced their front office is clueless, despite any late-season surges they've enjoyed.

They've got the right coach, but I sure don't think they have the right management team.

Good God, are they tryin' to run Burmistrov out of town?

Hainsey could net something huge in this ridiculously weak trade market, but I haven't heard anything about him being available. Cheveldayoff might end up making Waddell look like a genius when all is said and done.

Burmistrov wants out.

He's probably a better tipper than Kane though.
