Who will get revenge on their old team tonight? Jiri? Devante? Rene still around? Louis angling for a callup?

Looks like Weise and Malhotra will be scratched in favour of the new guys:

Pacioretty-Desharnais-Gallagher
Eller-Plekanec-Galchenyuk
Parenteau-JDLR-DSP
Prust-Flynn-Mitchell

I'm starting to wonder if Bergevin over-tinkered. It's hard trying to come up with a lineup where everyone fits.

C: Plekanec, Desharnais, Eller, De La Rose
LW: Pacioretty, Galchenyuk, Prust
RW: Gallagher, Parenteau, Smith-Pelly

Pluggers: Flynn, Weise, Mitchell, Malhotra

He wanted guys down in Hamilton for the playoffs, and they chose JDLR over Bournival to keep up.

Right now they know what they have in the guys they've had all year, but the new guys will get their shots first to see if they're any better before the playoffs.

There's been rumblings about DSP's conditioning level already so who knows if he'll last the whole time as a regular. But of course he's going to play tonight vs Anaheim.

Habs outshoot the Dux 15-10 in the first, down a goal.

Eller is shooting from all angles right now. He's desperate for a goal.

Galchenyuk looked lost in the first period, also out of desperation. He pushed a couple of passes that weren't there.

PK made a couple of nice plays, almost taking out Kesler with a hit, then sending Weise on a 2-on-1 (that Plekanec duffed).

The Habs traded Sekac for a fat, slow guy.

The Ducks added young guns Sekac and Despres in exchange for scrubs.

Bob Murray is a god.

Don't let the late garbage goal fool you: the Habs got shutout twice in a row.

Terrible times out west.

The team put all their hopes for secondary offence in Galchenyuk and Eller, and they're basically having panic attacks out there.

Interesting, I had no idea the Habs had acquired Smith-Pelly. I am sure if his conditioning is an issue that the Leaders on the team will get him in order. That's a great pick up. Give him a chance.

Once the Habs got in the opposing zone, Smith-Pelly looked good. Hard along the boards and physical. It's just skating from one end to the other that's trouble for him.

Even Therrien admitted they're getting him on a plan to improve his conditioning level.

Habs just can't score. Gibson seems to be rounding into form. Is this just a being 'out west' thing or is there a deeper issue? We'll see how they fare versus Kings tonight.

Do they have enough fire power up front to beat a team from the west in a 7 game series?

Habs are about the only hope we have this year for a Cup as Canadians in 22 years....

The Habs won't be favourites to win a series beyond Round 1, mainly due to their stifling offence.
