Franson will not get it done. Who do you think you're dealing with here, Darryl Sutter?

Not like Bob Murray's proven to be much smarter thus far. Got hoodwinked by his old boss and is paying Andrew Cogliano a total of $7 million.

I'd put Ryan's value somewhere between Carter and Richards for me.

Sure; I would love to see Bobby Ryan in playing on the Leafs; but I'm not so sure with giving up on Kadri, Franson & a 1st.

I'd do that deal in a heartbeat...

So would I.

If I were the Ducks owner, I'd likely be in jail. But also, I wouldn't allow Murray to deal with Burke anymore.

Seriously, if he traded Bobby Ryan to Toronto and didn't at least get Gardiner back...

Reports say a trade is in the works, and it could be any one of the Rangers, Sabres, or CANUCKS getting him.

I don't see how in hell the teams make it work since none of them have that kind of cap room, and Anaheim can't add any salary that exceeds what they're dumping in Ryan.

Lies!

Seriously, though, short of a straight up swap for Kesler, the numbers don't make sense for Van to be involved. I can see Anaheim asking for a package that includes CoHo, Schneider... To make the cap hit work, perhaps CoHo ($1.67m), Schneider ($900k) and Ballard (4.2m) for Ryan ($5.1m) and Kurtis Foster ($1.8m).

Or perhaps just Schneider and Ballard (assuming the latter agrees - he's got a limited NMC, I believe) for Ryan. That I might do... I'd hate to part with CoHo as he's just starting to chip in offensively.

Personally, I'd still like to pry Foster loose somehow. With Salo being what he is, I think Van needs a big body d-man willing to dish it out physically.

Hilarious what Avs fans think the Ducks will accept. I think one guy on HF said we should offer Mark Olver (still out with a concussion from last season), Tyson Barrie, and Ryan Wilson. And then he said the Ducks would have to offer up more in order to make it fair.

Fans tend to value their youth and prospects at their ceiling where real world the real risk of never getting there is factored into the value of actual deals. Just the way the world works and will continue too.

Actually, the son of the complete asshole is the only part of the proposed trade that makes any sense.

Sure hope Tyson doesn't have his old man handling his finances.

#Ducks GM Bob Murray has assured Bobby Ryan he is off #NHL trading market today. Also told Ryan's desire to be moved is no longer an issue.

Ducks GM puts ‘for sale’ signs on everyone but Selanne, Koivu

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_d ... 628&cmp=fb

Well I know us Leaf fans think we are in the running for everyone...But if Getzlaf was really on the market I couldn't see Burke not as strong player on the bidding war. Lots of Eastern teams in the middle of the pack would likely blow their brains out on some of the Ducks premier talent. Though I guess Ryan was as good as waiting at the airport for a trade to go down at one point if all this internet chatter is to be believed.

As well these types of team wide threats are pretty common motivational tools.

If I were the Ducks owner I might have fired Murray as GM already, but if not I definitely would override any potential trade Murray might have with Toronto at this point.

It's like gambling though he just needs one big deal with Burke to go his way and he's back baby!

Ducks just need to wait another year. A ton of salary comes off the books and they have a few prospects who might be ready for full-time duty.

Unfortunately it might be time to re-evaluate Jonas Hiller. He hasn't been the same since coming back from his concussion or vertigo or whatever the hell it was.

LA has too many good D and not enough good wingers, Ducks have good wingers and terrible D. If they could get over the whole bitter division rival thing they would be ideal trading partners.
