It's still the Shane Wright Draft until someone says otherwise, but understandably people are already looking past this one to 2023.

The biggest riser by far is Juraj Slafkovsky, a BIG winger coming out of Finland.

Conventional wisdom would say Wright is the safest pick by a healthy margin, but at least one of the big names will turn out to be a better player in the end.

Slafkovsky really giving me Jagr vibes, just a dude with a fat ass who can score.

It's why I'm not too hung up on who wins the lottery, there's enough to go around.

Habs win the lottery! Devils jump up to 2, Yotes drop to 3.

Some good news: Ivan Miroschnichenko completed chemo for Hodgkin's and is expected to resume playing next season. Started as a potential lottery pick before his illness.

Bobby Mac has a good ear for what's going on and he has Slafkovsky number one. This draft is coming down to the wire.

Good Christ!

Are we going to end up with Yakopov or Galchenyuk?

Somehow the Kraken walk away with Wright.

Wow there was a ton of drama from picks 1-4 with the trade thrown in for good measure.

Wright fell to fourth!? Geez. Apparently he shot the Habs table a look on his way up to the stage.

Fun times at this draft. We were promised trades and, they sure as hell happened.

Shane's death stare was amazing. I hope the dude has a long career and proves the naysayers wrong.

The Habs clearly wanted Slafkovsky+ or Wright+, and they felt they found a Wright equivalent in Dach. Not really any Slafkovsky types out there.

Fun to see the names Snuggerud and Karpa out there. Gotta play hockey with names like that!
