Luca Sbisa is out for the rest of the World Juniors because of a abdominal tear, and could miss the Olympics.

Is Sbisa the only player on both his country's WJC and Olympic squad?

Roman Josi is on both teams as well for Switzerland.

I've been chatting with some Swiss media here. Rumour is that Saskatoon wants Sbisa bad, but so does pretty much everyone else. He won't be playing in the WHL until after the Olympics because of his injury, so if you trade for him, it's just for the playoffs.

I'd guess that Brandon, Calgary, Tri-City, Portland (where fellow Swiss Nino Niederreiter plays), Vancouver, and Medicine Hat will be in on a bidding war for him. Saskatoon only has 1 European right now, and the limit is two, so they don't need to trade a Euro to make the deal possible, which could benefit them.

denying a true swiss the right to play for a country he was born and raised? yah i'd be pretty pissed.

he's no brett hull talent wise, but still, hes Canadian, born and raised. I would be ashamed to take away a REAL swiss players right to done the red and white cross
