Seems awful silly to me. Oh well...they should go back to those Summit Series jerseys, those were cool.

Honestly, it does seem strange to have the symbol of the governing body on the jersey when everyone else just has the country name and some incarnation of the national flag or crest. Both because it's a specific agency and has much more of a "sports logo" look than all the others.

Um...okay.

It's impossible to see the art inside the logo on the screen. Just looks to me like they took the hockey player silhouette out of the logo along with any black accents.

I really like em. Red and White, nothing elaborate. I still love the '76 and '87 ones though.

Bleh, kind of dull.

I still maintain Canada should wear green and white in international competition -- colors that represent the country far better than the colonial legacy. There is absolutely no need to stick to flag colors in international competition (and indeed, several countries more secure in their identities don't -- Australia, Italy, Netherlands, etc., and tend to have really memorable uniforms as a result). When everyone sticks to flag colors, it's just a whole bunch of red, blue and white.

Not flag colours. Red and White is just the best colour combination :D

Heh, I call bias. :P They do basically just look like Red Wing uniforms with a bit of aboriginal art.

Another benefit of switching to green I thought of is that it gives the PQ a little less to bitch about.

Why does every thread in here end up being about the last OTP Chapter meeting?

A better look at the logo and jersey. Scroll down and they have a retrospective. I hope they keep that Summit Series inspired one with the funky half-leaf.

Wow...some of them '90s jerseys are ugh-lee.

Better than the stuff they had to wear in Beijing!

i picked up the jersey! got it for 25% off! 100 bux!

the medals, beside the fact they look like they got run over by a train, i like them! very unique!

Oh...didn't realize the Yanks had to change their logo as well.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_d ... nhl,183680

Meh...I like the whole retro idea, but the jersey as a whole is just plain boring. I also don't like the fact we're ripping off the Canadians' idea of a graphic imprinted directly on the jersey. Or maybe we thought of it first. Nonetheless, seems a bit ostentatious.
