Odd to think that the political relationship with Russia/USSR is back to where it was when the Series happened. Except now, Russia wouldn't be invited to play lol

It's truly an event that can never be duplicated. As they say, context is everything and the context of this series was utterly unique. My Parents had arrived here 5 years earlier and this series instilled patriotic pride in the country and in hockey.
