hmm, seems to me if you're going to discuss BC hockey history it needs to included 2 time world champion Trail Smoke Eaters. (and btw that is one of the best team names ever).

It is also a bit surprising to see so many BC players do that well as the weather and geography is conducive to so many other sports so BC's best athletes tend to be less focused on hockey than other provinces. Soccer, downhill skiing, and it's also become quite the baseball factory pull a lot of the top .01% of athletic talent.

Hockey talent is probably proportional to access to facilities, which is increasingly a measure of how many upper middle class to wealthy people are in an area.
