I'm doing a bit of modern history/analysis right now on the 2003 NHL Draft. Put a ton of work into the grading system for this. Had a delay due to the graphics needing to be rebuilt, but it's back on track now.

The Intro/Scoring System

1. Shea Weber
2. Ryan Getzlaf
3. Corey Perry
4. Dion Phaneuf
5. Eric Staal
6. Brent Seabrook

Should have a new one up every day from now on.

Nice work.

I cannot find your criteria for awarding bonus points for end of season awards. Am I missing something?

Left a comment on Getzlaf.

Well, I do, they should be in the intro. Half points for 1st or 2nd All-Star Team selection or a major award win based on on-ice accomplishment (Hart, Ross, Richard, Selke, Norris, Vezina, Byng, Calder, Conn Smythe, Jennings, Lindsay). Nothing for team accomplishment.

There it is:

Bonus half points were given for any major trophy wins, or First or Second team All-Star selections (year end)

Didn't see it before...

#3 is up for Corey Perry now.

The only reason Eric Staal isn't #1 on this is because a year of his service was lost due to the lockout. I factored that in a bit, but it's still more heavily weighted to how players were actually used rather than the 'ideal' usage (about 1/3 to 2/3).

How many points did he get deducted for being a whiney little bitch?

Staal or Perry?

Heck, this whole class is full of whiney bitches: Kesler, Richards, Zherdev, Vanek (who cries upon hearing news of staying in Buffalo), Horton, Carter, Dion... at least there's Byfuglien manning up by refusing breathalizer tests without due cause, and AK46 hanging out with gangsters.
