So it's very possible that Zdeno Chara (1996), Joe Thornton, and Patrick Marleau (both 1997) all hang it up this offseason. We already know Ryan Miller (1999) has officially called it a career. That means, unless I'm missing someone, every single player drafted in the 20th Century will be done.

Also, it appears the draft classes of '96 and '97 outlasted '98 by a fair margin, and that 2000 is also pretty much done UNLESS Henrik Lundqvist attempts a comeback (I kinda hope he doesn't for his own health's sake).

Man it really doesn't feel like it was that long ago we were talking about the 80's draftees. Even Jagr was a 90 pick!

Looked it up. Selanne from '88(13-14) and Lidstrom from '89 (11-12) were the last two. Can't believe that its been that long since those two retired.
