Antropov is a solid complimentary second line player. If that is what you want him for it's a good deal.

Strange trade on both sides. I'm assuming Philly needed to dump salary or something...? And I thought Phoenix liked Carcillo.

Fuck. Does that mean we have to play Georges Laraque in the playoffs now?

Can you imagine a Hartnell-Downie-Carcillo line?

Yikes...

You'd have to continue to imagine... Downie is a Dolt, er... Bolt.

Downie is with Tampa.

Try Asham -- Carcillo -- Cote.

Right, forgot about that. Still, Hartnell and Carcillo riding shotgun with anyone will be dangerous... As in, someone is going to get killed dangerous...

They are gonna love Carcillo in Philly!

I was surprised by this, thought he was one of Gretz's faves.

Apparently after reading about the trade he had fallen in Gretzky's doghouse...apparently the Great One said he was taking *gasp* stupid penalties.

The NESN crew was opining about their choices for biggest impact trades,
and this was Milbury's favorite ... he pretty said what you said :
"They are gonna love Carcillo in Philly! " adding they would be chanting his name

for what it's worth, Jack Edwards chose the Ollie Jokinen trade (before Ollie scored 2)
and Brickley chose the Recchi deal

I'd say Edward's was right, though not exactly going out on a limb

I think the Pahlsson pick up by Chicago is going to haunt Vancouver in the first round... :fffffuck:

I listen to CBC radio often & from what they were saying on Wednesday was that the Coyotes have grown more tired of his off-ice antics then the on-ice ones.

In addition, the Philly guy they had on (forget whom) described Upshall as being one of the most popular guys in the dressing room :wth: (yeah, that's what all the women say about me!)

Anyhow, the Flyers clearly did have cap woes with Briere coming off the IR (didn't he hurt himself again though?) & HAD to move somobody. With Upshall being an RFA .... that's why I continued to link him to the Leafs!

When all is said & done ... I had both of these guys linked to the Leafs! :chris18:

Upshall AND a 2nd round pick for Carcillo seems steep though.

Both are good energy players; Upshall being the more skilled of the 2, though with less piss n' vinagear, but to include a 2nd rounder as well?

Curious this is.

But fuck it, it's the Flyers anyway & nobody here wants them to have any success.
