Well, give credit to Vegas for making it VERY interesting last-minute. You have to admire the balls those guys got. They absolutely do not care about first round picks, and that's fine.

And really, they're not cheating. So long as the LTIR loophole exists teams will exploit it. And it doesn't sound like any teams have any desire to get rid of it.

Vegas is the best thing to happen to this league in years.

Vegas is certainly abusing the spirit of the rules, but good for them. I'd suggest one change in the rules though, you can only ice a team with a $80 million cap value in the playoffs, not a $100 million value. That would probably constrain this activity but on the other hand watching them work the system is fun.

What would be way more fun is if Calgary knocks them out. Calgary is only 6 points behind and one game in hand. Calgary 6-4 in their last 10 and LV is 2-7-1. LV had only 4 high danger chances against the Nucks last night. They looked about as threatening as Anaheim, or SJ. 6 points in 20 games is a lot to make up and Calgary doesn't seem to me like the team to do it, but LV is not playing well so it could happen...........and boy would that be
