Edmonton sends their 2024 1st and a conditional pick.

That's a nice bit of business there from Kenny Holland. A 4th line C who can kill penalties and play defense, and a C/W who wins faceoffs and plays a decent two-way game. Good depth additions.

For their first rounder, though? Those two are pending UFAs in their 30s. Seems like they could be had for depth picks, no? That's the return that Sean Monahan fetched, basically.

Well, the need for retention may have bumped that ask up to a 1st (I guess Tampa is also retaining salary on this deal as well).

I mean, really, given the high demand for a player like Henrique (and more than you might think for Carrick) this still seems like good value, even if both players walk this summer.

I also don't think Kenny is done yet.
